Biography
Lorna E. Grant is an Assistant Professor at the North Carolina Central University in the Department of Criminal Justice. She earned a BSc in Social Work and a MSW in Social Work Administration, from University of the West Indies, Jamaica, and a PhD in Juvenile Justice from Prairie View A& M University, Texas. Her research interests include Juvenile Justice Issues, Youth gangs, Crime prevention, Juvenile sex offenders, School violence, Community Building, Project development & implementation. She has done numerous presentations at academic conferences, as well as scholarly work on juvenile sex offenders, gang in schools, school security and school violence. In addition she has done research in the field of emergency management. Her latest research focused on juveniles who are in conflict with the law in Jamaica.
