Born in Greenwood, Mississippi and raised between homes in Mississippi and Michigan GeColby Youngblood earned a B.A. in English Literature from Alcorn State University, a historically black university in Alcorn State, Miss. At Alcorn, Youngblood was academically engaged and heavily involved on campus though the band, fraternity life and the Student Government Association. These influences lead Youngblood to pursue and earn an M.Ed. in Higher Education: Student Affairs from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. While studying at UNT, he worked as a graduate assistant for the Learning Center and Greek Life. Youngblood currently serves as an Assistant Director for CSP at NCCU.
