Felicia Ruffin has extensive clinical experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing. She has held positions such as clinical nurse in acute care settings. She has also held an ambulatory charge nurse position in Dermatology specialty. She is an experienced clinical research coordinator in the infectious disease specialty. She has authored a publication on developing and evaluating patient educational material. Additionally, she has co-authored several publications that examines various aspects of bacterial bloodstream infections. Her focus has been quality patient care and performance improvement. Felicia Ruffin joined the NCCU Department of Nursing as a clinical instructor in 2011. She teaches clinical practice in an acute care setting at UNC Memorial Hospital.
