Ms. Eaton is the Technology Director for the School of Education. Her responsibilities include facilitating and providing staff development activities for faculty, management and operation of faculty and student computer and special use technology labs, as well as overseeing academic technology needs for the School of Education. Ms. Eaton works with many public school partner institutions for technology integration and professional development.
As a former classroom teacher with Durham Public Schools, Eaton utilizes sound educational practices and background in her work in the School of Education and in the facilitation of technology professional development activities. In Durham Public Schools, she was the first Curriculum Specialist at Burton Elementary Magnet School.
Eaton has served as Coordinator for the Graduate Education Technology Program and has served as an adjunct professor teaching technology courses for the Teacher Education and Education Technology Programs.
Eaton serves on several committees within the School of Education and the University and has presented at state, national and international professional conferences for instructional technology. She holds the bachelor's degree in K-6 Education and master's degree in Education Technology from North Carolina Central University.
