In addition to teaching classes in the Department of Physical Education and Recreation, Ms. Stoddard is the Athletic Training Program Director. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the academic program which includes continuing accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).


Ms. Stoddard in her 10th year on the faculty at NCCU. She is the Director of the Athletic Training Program and a Lecturer in the Department of Physical Education and Recreation. The Athletic Training Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) and received continuing accreditation in 2010.The program is the first HBCU with such an accreditation. Ms. Stoddard also teaches required classes in the Physical Education major in the Sports Medicine concentration.

Miss Stoddard is an athletic trainer (AT), credentialed by the Board of Certification (BOC). She is also a licensed athletic trainer (LAT) in the state of North Carolina. She has over 19 years of experience as an Athletic Training Program Director. Ms. Stoddard has athletic training experience with Division I, II and III college athletics, high school and professional athletics and has worked in private clinical practices. She was the first athletic trainer to work at the National Athletic Trainers' Association national office. Ms. Stoddard recently received notification that she will receive a National Service award in June 2018 from the National Athletic Trainers Association.
