In addition to teaching clases in the Department of Physical Education and Recreation, Ms. Stoddard is the Athletic Training Program Director. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the the program which includes continuing accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
Ms. Stoddard begins her sixth year on the faculty at NCCU in 2013-2014. She is the Director of the Athletic Training Program and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education and Recreation. The Athletic Training Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) and received continuing accreditation in 2010 through 2020.The program is the first HBCU with such an accreditation.
Miss Stoddard is an athletic trainer, certified by the Board of Certification (BOC). She is also a licensed athletic trainer (LAT) in the state of North Carolina. She has over 15 years of experience as an Athletic Training Program Director. Ms. Stoddard also has athletic training experience with Division I, II and III college athletics, high school and professional athletics and worked in private clinical practice. She was the first athletic trainer to work at the National Athletic Trainers' Association national office.
