In addition to teaching clases in the Department of Physical Education and Recreation, Ms. Stoddard is the Athletic Training Education Program Director. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the the program which includes continuing accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

Ms. Stoddard begins her fifth year on the faculty at NCCU in 2012-2013. She is the Director of the Athletic Training Education Program and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education and Recreation. The Athletic Training Education Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) and received continuing accreditation in 2010 through 2020.The program is the first HBCU with such an accreditation.



Miss Stoddard is an athletic trainer, certified by the Board of Certification (BOC). She is also a licensed athletic trainer (LAT) in the state of North Carolina. She has 15 years of experience as an Athletic Training Education Program Director. Ms. Stoddard also has athletic training experience with Division I, II and III college athletics, high school and professional athletics and worked in private clincal practice. She was the first athletic trainer to work at the National Athletic Trainers' Association national office.
