Clarrisa Grady, a native of Goldsboro, NC, graduated from North Carolina Central University with a B.S. degree in Political Science in 1986. Ms. Grady received her Master's of Public Administration from NCCU in 1995. Her concentration area is public policy. She has a certification in Nonprofit Management from Duke University and worked for ten years managing a national nonprofit organization where she began as Administrative Manager and held the position of Director of Operations during her final tenure. She also worked with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Washington, D.C. in human resources information management. Ms. Grady resides in Durham, NC, where she has been a community advocate and volunteer and served in various leadership roles throughout the years and has been recognized for her hard work and efforts. Ms. Grady has over 20+ years of progressive experience working in academia as well as the nonprofit sector. Clarrisa is named after her aunt who went to NCCU during the 1960s. She has two siblings who are also NC Central University graduates. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
