As a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), Dr. Candace Parrish's dissertation involved discovering the potential effectiveness of infographics for cervical cancer prevention among African American Women. Other research interest areas include visual and prevention research in public relations and health communication. Dr. Parrish currently serves as the committee chair for the Inez Kaiser Graduate Students of Color Award for the Public Relations Division of the Association of Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) and was the former social media coordinator for The Red Flag Campaign--a national sexual assault and domestic violence prevention organization.
