An undergraduate degree in psychology basically prepares the student to proceed to the mastery of the scientific underpinnings of the profession. Research and the applications of psychology principles in a wide range of settings such as clinical, school, research labs, forensic, independent mental health practice, consultation, etc. In recent years, with the increased demand for psychology services, students with undergraduate degrees in psychology are finding careers as support or associate staff largely in private community mental health centers.
