Program Description

Increased interest in sports, physical fitness, exercise, and wellness has produced diverse career options beyond the more traditional role of physical educator in schools and colleges. Completing the degree requirements for the Bachelor of Arts with a major in EXSS provides the student with the background necessary to pursue a variety of careers in the health-related fitness field, the management of these programs, and the management of more traditional sport programs in a variety of settings. This concentration prepares students for professional schools in physical therapy, exercise physiology and other related fields.
