Eagle Career Network

Eagle Career Network gives employers the ability to post targeted job opportunities, schedule and host on-campus interviews, schedule and advertise employer presentations, view career center events, and register for career fairs.

Use of the system is free of charge and job postings reach current undergraduate and graduate students and alumni of the seven schools served by Career Services. Postings remain active for 30 days unless otherwise requested. If you would like to list your opportunity through Eagle Career Network, please log-in to your existing account or create a new one here.

The following tip sheets including best practices to assist employers in conducting effective and legitimate on-campus recruiting: On-Campus Employer Recruiting Policies (doc).

On-Campus Interviews

A great way to recruit NCCU students is to take advantage of on-campus interviews. This allows employers to maximize their recruiting efforts by accommodating the busy academic schedule of students and hosting interviews in the Office of Career Services.

To schedule on-campus interviews, employers can log-in Eagle Career Network and request a date. Our interview rooms are available Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.   For additional assistance, please contact Monica Stuckey.

If you are unable to come to campus, but still wish to make use of our interview scheduling services, we offer video conference interviews. Standard room charges and scheduling details apply.

Career Fair

NCCU Career Fairs include organizations from many industries, including government, finance, consumer goods, retail, marketing, advertising and more! This event offers employers an exciting opportunity to promote internships and full-time careers to NCCU students and alumni. For more information and to register for upcoming career fairs, please contact Monica Stuckey at mstuckey@nccu.edu.

Career View

Career Views offer organizations a unique opportunity to engage NCCU students in a meaningful way. Through our program students will have the chance to visit your company site and learn first-hand about opportunities and careers offered by your organizations. Previous participants include SAS, Cisco and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Career Views are typically two hours and can include a tour of your facility, presentation on internships/careers, or an opportunity for students to meet with alumni. Career Services will work with you to coordinate a date and time that is most convenient for you and our students, market your event on campus, and escort students to and from your company site.

For more information on coordinating a Career View, please contact Catrina DosReis at cdosreis@nccu.edu.

Professional Development Network Conference

Each year Career Services hosts its Professional Development Network Conference which includes various career and professional development workshops to help students gain employability skills. We welcome employers work alongside us in facilitating workshops that focus on various career topics that will give students better insight on what is expected in today’s job market.  The mutual benefit is employers building meaningful connections with students and faculty which can be leveraged as a recruitment pipeline for future opportunities.

If you are interested in facilitating a workshop, please contact Catrina DosReis at cdosreis@nccu.edu.

University Internship Program

The University Internship Program is designed to provide experiential learning to help students clarify career goals and develop marketable skills by integrating classroom knowledge and theory with practical application in a professional setting.  Through internships, students are able to gain exposure to the work place, develop a network, and hone skills that can be leveraged into future job searches.   In fact, internships are so highly valued on NCCU’s campus that many academic departments require internships as part of their major.

The benefits to organizations offering internships are manifold.  Some examples include:

  • A year round source of highly motivated pre-professionals
  • Increased campus visibility, quality candidates for temporary or seasonal positions or projects
  • Cost-effective work force and process to recruit and evaluate new employees
  • Enhanced presence in the community through contribution to the educational enterprise

Because of the mutual benefit afforded to students and organizations through internships, the Office of Career Services at NCCU serves to coordinate and facilitate internship experiences.  Therefore we invite partnership with organizations interested in serving as an internship site for NCCU students.   Interested organizations will need to review and agree to the guidelines of hosting an intern as part of our program, and will need to post their opportunities with Career Services.

To learn more about developing and recruiting for your internship program, please contact Catrina DosReis, Associate Director of Career Services, at cdosreis@nccu.edu or call 919-530-6198.
