Goal Statement

The primary purpose of the Fitness and Wellness Center is to serve as liaison with athletics teams and recreational users (faculty, staff, students and student athletes). The major goal of the fitness and wellness program is to provide all student athletes with structured and monitored programs by providing each team with specific training schedules to utilize flexibility, strength, conditioning, nutrition, and speed to enhance athletic performance, self image, and individual abilities. An equally important goal of the Fitness and Wellness Center will be to monitor the safety of all recreational users by designing proper and effective fitness programs.

Users Responsibilities

  • You must sign in each time you use the facility.
  • You must have a workout program, follow it, and record it on your own.
  • Lifters are required to use spotters after warm up set.
  • Never set weights on the floor or lean them against any equipment.
  • Break down equipment, return to racks when done.
  • Food, drink, gum tobacco, and toothpicks are permitted.
  • Wear appropriate work-out clothing; jeans and tank-tops are not permitted.
  • Bring a towel to clear perspiration from equipment.
  • Absolutely no horseplay!

Failure to comply will result in denied access to the facility.
