Wikipedia is Not A Citable Source: How to Conduct Effective Online Research

Event Details

Description: Wikipedia is Not A Citable Source: How to Conduct Effective Online Research Thursday, February 27, 2014 7:00-8:00 pm Hubbard-Totton Auditorium Presented by Joyner Library   At this Session a reference librarian from Shepard Library will be presenting a general overview of library resources, followed by some information and demonstrations about how to search in several of NCCU’s different electronic databases. If you have never been to the library or used an online database you will leave with a thorough understanding of the basic principles, and have met with a reference librarian so you’ll know who and how to ask for help in the future. Most students who attend this presentation say that they’re going to be more active in using the library to seek out more information for assignments, get help with a project, or use a reference librarian to request resources. Make your research easier and more thorough by using the resources available at Shepard Library!
