Unconscious Bias: Processing the Unseen

Event Details

Description: Unconscious Bias is the innate trait to draw quick conclusions based on physical features and it could save your life. Unfortunately, the same ability could cost another human being theirs, or even dramatically shape their life. Faculty will learn how this instinctive characteristic shapes your professional relationships, teaching style, and classroom management before you even get out of bed. This informative session will equip you to recognize unconscious bias in action, and provide you with the skillset to interrupt harmful reflexes. Presented by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
