Early FAFSA Start for 2017-18

Description: GREAT News!!!   You can complete your FAFSA application for 2017-18 beginning October 1, 2016.   If you desire funding for tuition, fees, room and board for 2017-18, then complete your FAFSA beginning October 1st! The Early Eagle Receives the Best Award Package. Five Easy Steps to Apply for Financial Assistance in 2017-18 1. Apply for a Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID) at https://fsaid.ed.gov (student and at least one parent) 2. File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2017-18 at www.fafsa.gov on October 1, 2016 3. Indicate North Carolina Central University’s school code of 002950 4. Electronically transfer Federal 2015 tax data utilizing the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (student and parents) 5. Apply for university and external scholarships at www.nccu.edu/scholarships In addition to applying for financial aid three months earlier, you are now able to apply for admissions and complete the financial aid process at the same time. The electronic process requires a social security number. Please remember to report your social security number on your admissions application.
