Blackboard Analytics is here on the campus of North Carolina Central University!
What is Blackboard Analytics?
Blackboard Analytics (BbA) is a business analysis tool that allows NCCU to monitor and measure student success factors as outlined in our 2020 Strategic Plan. This highly sophisticated reporting software will enable us to run reports and display dashboard metrics that will identify key statistics such as counts and percentages for student retention, student progression, course loads, class utilization and graduation. It will also provide us with drill down capabilities to identify specific student information such as individual course load, SAT/ACT scores, high school graduation information, GPA’s and etc. In short, Blackboard Analytics will allow NCCU to stay abreast of our students’ progression, both as individuals and varying demographics, throughout the college lifecycle (recruiting, admissions, enrollment/registration, retention and ultimately graduation.)
How Does Blackboard Analytics Help NCCU?
This reporting tool is key in pulling information from Banner and allows approved users the capability to view functional analytical reports to ensure NCCU stays on top of its strategic goals and will know which particular areas to focus on moving forward. Deloris Gee, the Project Leader along with the Project Team (comprised of key functional people across the campus) has worked diligently with Blackboard Analytics and is excited about its great potential for NCCU.
