GUIDELINES FOR DELEGATES


CHECK-IN FACILITIES
Delegates and ceremony participants should arrive at
B.N. Duke Auditorium, on the campus of NCCU, no later than
8:45 a.m. You may park in the Farrison-Newton
Communications Lot or other designated parking lots.
The Installation Ceremony will begin at 10 a.m.

CEREMONIAL ATTIRE
Academic regalia is required for official delegates, platform guests,
NCCU faculty and administrators. Delegates must bring their own attire.

ROBING
Robing will begin in B.N. Duke Auditorium at 9 a.m. 
Marshals, hosts and hostesses will be available to assist delegates.

ACADEMIC PROCESSION
The line-up for the procession will begin at 9:30 a.m.
The procession for official delegates will be organized according
to the founding date of their institution. Delegates of learned societies
will line up alphabetically. Marshals will lead the respective groups. The procession will begin at 9:50 a.m.

LODGING
A group rate for accommodations for the Installation is available for Wednesday, April 18, and Thursday, April 19, 2018, at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center. Call 919-941-5050.
Ask for "NCCU Chancellor Installation."

PARKING INFORMATION


WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18 • TED Talk and International Symposium

Public Accommodations: Free public parking is available in the Latham Parking Deck, located at 615 Lawson St.

Media Accommodations: Members of the media may arrive as early as 7 a.m. on Wednesday. Media parking will be in the Centennial Chapel Parking Lot at the corner of Formosa and Fayetteville streets.

THURSDAY, APRIL 19 • Installation Ceremony

Public Accommodations: Free public parking is available in the Latham Parking Deck, located at 615 Lawson St.

Media Accommodations: Members of the media may arrive as early as 8 a.m. on Thursday. Media parking for the Installation Service will be along Lawson Street, across from the Latham Parking Deck.

Program Participants and Delegates: Please reference the email correspondence from the Installation Committee regarding parking specifications.
