Cynthia Duarte is the director of the University Testing Center. She has worked for more than 15 years in higher education in the areas of teaching, testing and as a director of first-year programs. She joined the NCCU staff in 2009 as academic advisor in University College. Duarte aspires to make NCCU’s Testing Center the best in the country and a model for other testing centers across the nation by using cutting-edge technology, remote testing, and her “believe and achieve” approach to success.
Duarte brings to the Testing Center broad experience in administration, assessment, and planning of national tests, including the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), DANTES Subject Standardized Test (DSST), Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), Pre-professional Skills Tests (PRAXIS), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and others.
