Eligibility Qualifications

To be an SSS member, enrolled students must fall into one of the following categories:

  1. Low-income, first-generation college student  - Income eligibility is determined by the federal government and can be accessed here. Upon acceptance, income will be verified. First-generation status is considered a student whose parents (biological or adoptive) did not earn a degree from a four-year university. The parents may have attended a university, but did not graduate.
  2. Student with a documented physical or mental disability - Students who fall under this category should be registered with NCCU's Student Disability Services Office or must provide documentation upon acceptance.

If you have questions about the criteria, please contact the Student Success Services Office at sss@nccu.edu.

SSS Application

Please complete the SSS Application to be considered for membership in this beneficial program. After an SSS staff member reviews the information, you will be contacted about your acceptance.
