Welcome

Summer Session 2016 at North Carolina Central University offers NCCU and visiting students, the opportunity to advance toward an early graduation or to take classes for personal enrichment. Students can choose from two convenient four-or five week sessions or either a dual session (specified classes only). During the summer, you have the advantage of:

  • accelerate progress towards your degree for an early exit; thereby helping to reduce that student loan
  • get ahead by taking those prerequisites
  • enrolling in courses that are difficult during the fall and spring
  • smaller scale classes which gives an easier access to faculty
  • a relaxed environment for learning
  • classes that are offered Monday-Thursday giving you early access to the weekend

Admissions (NCCU Students Only)

  • Continuing NCCU students who were enrolled in the Spring semester do not need to
  • Readmit NCCU students – only if you have been readmitted through the Registrar’s Office; cleared through Student Health Services, and have met with your academic advisor
  • New NCCU students who have been officially admitted to the University
