The department offers bachelor’s and master's degrees in sociology. Our majors are exposed to the main building blocks of sociological thought, while being encouraged to exercise critical thinking. Course offerings include social organization, research methodology, cultural anthropology, social psychology, family science, theory, social differentiation, demography, and criminology. Students enjoy the cordial atmosphere that prevails in the department. For students to perform at their peak, we ask that they come with a willingness to learn. Being teachable coupled with the excellent teaching skills of the faculty, exceptional scholastic achievements are often reported.
