African American Faith Communities Project (AAFCP), Dr. Pamela Martin
Dr. Martin’s multidisciplinary and ethnically diverse research team investigates the many different ways faith communities support families in the rearing of adolescents. Therefore, participation in AAFCP helps churches, clergy, parents and researchers understand how adolescents incorporate religious messages into their daily lives.

His research team investigates social and psychological factors that impact African American life and well-being . Thus he employs and ecological approach to investigate the influence of racism, social and economic inequality upon the African American families and communities.
