The Skills and Simulation Laboratories comprise the Clinical Learning Resource Center (CLRC). The CLRC provides learning experiences established by North Carolina Central University's Department of Nursing for students to develop psychomotor and critical thinking skills essential to Nursing. Skills Lab serves as an extension of the clinical experience where students gain competency in designated skills. The Simulation Lab serves as a state-of-the-art clinical setting with two adult and one child HPS (Human Patient Simulators), to mimic the clinical setting. It is the responsibility of clinical faculty to ensure that each student receives adequate instruction and tutorials in order to gain competency in psychomotor and critical thinking skills.
