Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society, Inc.

Mission

"We are a professional society whose mission is to promote the study of history
through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange
of learning and ideas among historians. We seek to bring students, teachers and writers
of history together for intellectual and social exchanges, which promote and assist historical
research and publication by our members in a variety of ways."
Mission

Pi Gamma Mu National Social Science Honor Society

Mission

The purpose of Pi Gamma Mu is to foster excellence in the social sciences and to
promote cooperation among them. Its primary objectives are to encourage the study
of the social sciences among graduate and undergraduate students and faculty members
throughout the world, and to recognize outstanding achievement through election to
membership and the presentation of various awards for distinguished achievement. In
addition, it provides support for its local chapters and assists its members to develop
leadership skills.
