“The program has taught me about working with a diverse group of people and using everyone’s talents and skills to complete a task. It has strengthened my belief that teamwork is essential in the new workplace.”
I was already working in Higher Education and wanted to transition into Executive Administration. I knew that having an advanced degree would open up this possibility for me. The MBA was a natural choice because it would allow me to build upon my finance and accounting skills. I believe the degree will accelerate my career by better positioning me for a Director role or other high-level position in Executive Administration.
After reviewing many programs in the area, I chose NCCU MBA because it is a UNC system member institution. The affordability and time to earn the degree were also appealing aspects. With my undergraduate degree in finance, I can complete the program in less time. And as a working professional, this was extremely important because I would not have to leave my position in order to move up in my career.
When I arrived at NCCU, I was really impressed with the diversity of the campus community. I continue to be impressed by the MBA program, particularly with the knowledge and experience of the NCCU MBA faculty! I would tell anyone who is considering an MBA to definitely apply to the NCCU MBA program, because there are many elective options that will fit whatever goals you may have. Also, you will be attending a top-notch program for far less out-of-pocket expense than most in the area.
