| GIS Day Flyer |
The Department of Environmental, Earth and Geospatial Sciences is proud to host national GIS Day at the Mary Townes Science Center on November 16th, 2011. GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is the technology that runs your GPS unit and helps you find directions. However, it has many more uses and can be used in business, criminal justice, environmental science, public utilities and even history. GIS professionals from around the local area will talk to NCCU students about the ways in which GIS can be used in the various disciplines offered across the NCCU campus. Come to Room 1234 in the Mary Townes Science Center to learn how GIS can be used in your course of study or discipline. Talks will be given at 9:00, 9:45, 1030, 11:15 and 12:00. Feel free to attend one talk or come to them all!!
