The Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences is committed to provide intensive instruction and training in the life sciences, by offering relevant and up-to-date courses and experiences to adequately prepare students for a variety of careers in education, government, private industry and the health professions.  Through activity and experience within the classroom, laboratory and community service, students will acquire and learn to apply their problem solving skills, technology-based training and scientific concepts to appreciate and improve the quality of life.  The students will be trained to assume leadership roles in local, state, national and globally diverse communities.
