Student Opportunities

NCCU' s Students

The Institute for Homeland Security and Workforce Development provides many opportunities for the student body of NCCU.  The Institute offers undergraduate and graduate students opportunities to learn about homeland security issues.  Furthermore, the Institute engage the students in many functions that progresses the Institute such as presentations to N.C. Legislature, focus groups for course development, future funding meetings and an array of other activities conducted by the Institute.

Students are afforded these opportunities in the form of assistantships, internships and work study.  Currently the Institute employs two graduate and two undergraduate assistants.  The Institute consistently informs students of opportunities outside of the University and educate students about the many opportunities with the Department of Homeland Security.
