NCCU CREST presents

CREST- Computational Center for Fundamental and Applied Science and Education

What can we learn about polyatomic molecules from ultra fast optical spectros copy experiments?

Dr. Maxim Gelin

Munich Advanced Photonics Center, Technical University of Munich,D-85748 Garching, GERMANY

We consider the problems of the theoretical description and interpretation of basic time resolved optical experiments (spontaneous emission, pump-probe, three-pulse photon echo). Weshow how molecular structural and dynamical information can be extracted from these experiments. Advantages of the time-domain spectroscopy over the traditional frequency domain spectros copy are discussed.
