Calculation of the Optoelectronic Properties of Semiconductor Quantum Dots Using an Efficient Effective Potential Method
Activities
The goal of this subproject is to develop an efficient method to simulate the properties of semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) with explicit consideration of size, shape, substrate, strain and compositional distribution.

Findings
An effective approach for describing the electronic structure of InGaAs/GaAs quantum dots (QDs) is presented. We model QDs based on a single sub-band approach with an energy dependent electron effective mass.
