Important part of building the research and education infrastructure at the Center was through:
installing new experimental equipment and computational research resources at NCCU,
expanding research collaborations,
establishing HBCU research and educational network.
Below is a brief overview of these activities:
The CREST established strong experimental and theoretical research programs in nuclear physics, computational physics, nanotechnology, semiconductors physics, and microwave physics. In addition to this productive research we formed a unique research laboratory for formation of nanostructures and material characterization.
The CREST established collaborative research programs and has put forth a strong effort to foster scientific advances by bringing together researchers and educators and creating intellectual synergy among scientists and engineers.
