What is RSS?
NCCU's RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML format designed for sharing web content like news headlines. An RSS service (also known as an RSS channel) consists of a list of items, each of which contains a headline, description, and a link to a web page. To get the full content of NCCU's RSS service, such as a full-text article or video, click the RSS icon (below), which is also available on the main entry page of this site.
After setting up your news reader, you will be ready to use NCCU's RSS. To subscribe, right-click on one of the channels and select "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location" to copy the location (URL) of the service. Follow the instructions for your particular news reader, and then paste this location wherever it asks for the location of the service you wish to subscribe to.
RSS Feed Validator
In an effort to syndicate standardized, compliant RSS code, North Carolina Central University Web Services validates RSS 2.0 feed through W3C.org. At the time of this post, the code successfully passed validation and deemed worthy of syndication. If, at any time you find the code does not pass validation, please notify NCCU ITS Helpdesk.
