SGA Executive Board 2012-2013
Academic Affairs

Academic Affairs is responsible for assisting students excel in the classroom. This division provides resources and programs that will help students grow academically. Academic Affairs host “Study Jam” each semester to provide open study spaces throughout campuses with tutors and areas for group study to ensure the success of final examinations. The division meets regularly with University College to collaborate and create ways to further develop students academically.

Alumni Affairs

Alumni Affairs assists students with reconnecting with the Alumni of NCCU. The division hosts programs for current NCCU students and Alumni to network and build relationships. Alumni Affairs works closely with the university’s Alumni Relations office to maintain a continuous relationship between the students and Alumni.

Public Relations

Public Relations’ responsibility is to build communication tactics to reach out to both students and administration. The Public Relations division strives to connect with the different organizations and departments around campus and serve as a resource for marketing and promotion. The division works to brand SGA and market the resources it provides to the student body.

Elections and Transitions

The Elections and Transitions Division oversees SGA’s process of electing new administrations and providing training and preparation for their year of service to the campus community. The division also plans and produces the Mr. & Miss North Carolina Central University Pageant.

Judicial Affairs

The Judicial Division is responsibility for providing resources and programs for students to understand the importance of being in compliance with the Student Code of Conduct, with the intent to decrease the amount of student disciplinary infractions. The Division of Judicial Affairs is dedicated to helping spread the Student Code of Conduct in an effective and transparent matter.
