The University Testing Center (UTC) was established in 1987 under the Division of Academic Affairs. Its administrative responsibilities were to ensure that resources were to ensure that resources were available to offer special assistance to students in the areas of test preparation and test taking strategies and to allow the university flexibility in scheduling and controlling testing for new students. It is our hope that by utilizing services offered by the Center, students will increase their content knowledge and test taking skills thereby improving test scores. The staff is aware of the various learning styles; therefore, we work with students on individual basis in an attempt to reduce test-taking anxiety.
