English Language Development Certificate
The Department of English and Mass Communication at North Carolina Central University is pleased to announce the official launch of their new Certificate in English Language Development. 

The Certificate in English Language Development was created for non-native English speakers who wish to improve their English language skills.

ELDC courses are designed for high-intermediate or advanced English language learners who need to improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in order to continue academic study at an undergraduate level or to develop professional competencies.

We offer two types of certificates:

Certificate for Academic Credit (ideal for prospective NCCU students)
  • 5 Courses
  • Official student status
  • College credit and university transcript
Non-credit option Certificate
  • 4 courses
  • Informal admissions process
  • Reasonable cost
